Configure birthday points
- In Earning rules, create Birthday points.
- Enter Points awarded each year.
- Select Require birth year if needed.
- Create the rule, then activate it on the Earning rules page.
Customers save their birthday on the Rewards page; birth year is optional by default. Correct it through Customers → Actions → Change birthday when a birthday rule exists.
When points arrive
Birthday awards run daily using UTC dates. Birthdays must be saved before the day begins. Saving or changing a birthday does not award points immediately.
Each customer earns once per UTC calendar year, even if their birthday changes. February 29 birthdays use February 28 in non-leap years.
Birthdays before activation or recording receive no catch-up award. Contact support about missing points; do not change the birthday to trigger them.
Change or deactivate the rule
Edits affect future awards. Choose Deactivate to stop awards without removing saved birthdays or earned points.
