Redemption review

Resolve uncertain rewards without duplicate credit, codes or points.

Do not repeat an uncertain redemption

Shopify may have issued the reward despite an incomplete response. Redeeming again or restoring points too soon can duplicate its value.

Open the redemption

  1. Find the Reconciling reward in Redemptions or its activity link.
  2. Open the redemption review.
  3. Check the reward type, customer, points, value, creation time, and status history before taking action.

Discount rewards

For discount rewards, NASP Rewards reserves a unique customer code before asking Shopify to issue it.

Checking Shopify for this discount means NASP Rewards is checking that exact code:

  • if Shopify has the code, the original redemption completes;
  • if Shopify confirms the code does not exist, NASP Rewards restores the points debited for a points exchange; and
  • if Shopify’s answer is incomplete, the redemption stays under review and is checked again.

During review, do not create another discount, restore points or ask the customer to redeem again. If the next scheduled check does not resolve it, contact support with your shop domain, reward title, code and redemption time.

VIP tier-entry gifts

Gift vouchers use the same code check. Failed gifts need no points restoration because they cost zero points. Do not reissue while the outcome is uncertain.

Store Credit

Store Credit has no exact-code lookup. Check Shopify transactions before completing the review.

If the credit was issued

Your Shopify account needs the Store credit and View store credit transactions permissions.

  1. From the redemption review, open the customer in Shopify.
  2. Open the customer’s Store credit balance and inspect recent transactions.
  3. Match the customer, amount, currency, and time shown in NASP Rewards.
  4. If needed, open Analytics → Reports → Store credit transactions and copy the full Store Credit transaction ID from the matching row.
  5. Enter that full ID and a review note in NASP Rewards, then choose Confirm issued.

If no transaction matches exactly, contact support. Do not guess the ID.

If the credit was not issued

  1. Confirm there is no matching Store Credit transaction for the customer.
  2. In NASP Rewards, choose Restore points.
  3. Enter a review note and confirm.

The points may take a few minutes to reappear. If restoration remains pending, return to the review and choose Retry restoration.

Shopify explains the report fields in its store credit reports guide.
