Exchange points for a single-use order discount code restricted to its recipient.
Review issued codes in Shopify Admin → Discounts.
Create the reward
- In Rewards, choose Create reward.
- Choose Amount off order.
- Enter a customer-facing Reward title and the Standard points price.
- Under Discount value, choose Percentage or Fixed amount, then enter the value.
- Set any minimum purchase, combination, validity, and discount tag options.
- Preview, create, then activate from Rewards.
Put the value and conditions in the title: “10% off your next order” or “USD 5 off orders over USD 50.”
Set a minimum purchase
- No minimum requirements: any otherwise eligible order.
- Minimum purchase amount: required order subtotal.
- Minimum quantity of items: required item count.
Shopify checks the minimum when the code is applied.
Combinations, validity, and tags
Combinations allows product, order or shipping discounts. Every combined discount’s conditions must be met.
Validity period starts at redemption; blank means no expiry. Discount tags
help find codes in Shopify. NASP Rewards also adds nasp-rewards.
Codes cover one-time purchases, not subscription renewals.
What the customer receives
Confirmation deducts points and issues the code. Customers copy it from the result or Your rewards. POS staff apply it at checkout.
Lifecycle and VIP options
New rewards start inactive. Edits preserve status. Deactivate before deleting. Issued rewards keep their terms.
Use Availability under Who can redeem to choose eligible customers. Select Set different prices for VIP tiers for tier prices; these do not change the benefit.
