Free product rewards

Give customers a single-use voucher for one free unit of an exact variant, regardless of its price.

Create the reward

1. In Rewards, choose Create reward, then Free product.
2. Enter Reward title. Under Product variant, choose Select product and select one variant.
3. Under Available through, choose Points exchange or VIP tier-entry gift.
4. For Points exchange, enter Standard points price. Use Availability under Who can redeem and Set different prices for VIP tiers when needed.
5. Review the available combination and validity settings.
6. Create the reward, then activate it from Rewards.

Saving settings preserves its status. Deactivate a reward before deleting it.

What customers receive

Confirmed exchanges deduct points and issue a customer-restricted code. Tier-entry gifts cost no points.

Customers must add the variant and apply the code. It makes one unit free, without adding products or covering extra units.

Customers can copy the code again from their reward history. Staff redeeming points in Shopify POS use the displayed code at checkout.

Choose the right reward

Use Amount off products for a fixed or percentage discount. Use Buy X get Y when the free item requires a qualifying purchase.

Issued vouchers keep their terms. Follow Redemption review for uncertain outcomes before reissuing or adjusting points.
