Expire points after the last purchase

Extend surviving points when a customer places another order.

Choose Last purchase under Settings → Points expiry, enter a positive whole number of months, review the example and save.

New credits start their lifetime when accepted. Later order placement can extend surviving points using this method.

What resets the clock

Order placement counts regardless of payment, amount, cancellation, test or refund status. This differs from purchase earning, which requires payment.

Order processing takes time. Older orders cannot shorten deadlines; processing the same order again cannot reset them twice.

What does not extend

Expired or fully spent points do not extend. Points with fixed deadlines or a different accepted expiry method retain their own rules.

Use calendar months, with shorter months ending on their last day. Expiry is the start of that date in the original policy timezone.

Changes to settings

Edits affect future credits. Existing points keep their duration, timezone and extension rules.

For a clock that responds to point movements instead, see Last points balance change.
